Shadow Reclamation Act
The American concentration camps at Poston (Poston I, II, and III) were located on Indian Reservation land and were jointly managed by the War Relocation Authority and the Office of Indian Affairs. Close to 18,000 people were incarcerated here.
This land is part of the Sovereign Nation of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, which comprise the Hopi, Navajo, Mohave and Chemehuevi tribes.
