The Rowher and Jerome, Arkansas camps were the eastern-most War Relocation Authority camps. Artist Ruth Asawa was incarcerated at Rohwer as a child. Her father was incarcerated in New Mexico (likely Santa Fe and/or Camp Lordsburg DOJ camps).
Arkansas is on Caddy, Quapaw, Cherokee, Biloxi, and Tunica land.
